The American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) seeks a forward-thinking individual for a two-year, entry-level internship (June 2026–May 2028) partially funded by the NCAA Division III Pathway to Excellence Grant. This role supports the 2025-2028 Strategic Plan, focusing on brand evolution, student-athlete experience, and conference governance. Key Responsibilities: Championships (30%): Assist in planning and executing postseason events, including the 2026-27 Football Bowl Games and the 2027 NCAA DIII Women’s Basketball Championship. Manage awards, banquets, and digital ticketing systems. Communications (30%): Lead digital content creation (video/photo) for rollrivers.com and social media. Oversee a student intern cohort and support institutional broadcasting enhancements. Strategy & Governance (25%): Serve as a project lead for strategic plan pillars (Achievement, Promotion, Collaboration) and act as a liaison for the Awards and Championships Committees. Student-Athlete Development (10%): Support mental health initiatives, lead Symposium logistics, and serve as a secondary liaison to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with a strong understanding of NCAA Division III philosophy. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple high-detail projects. Must reside in Iowa or Nebraska for frequent travel to member institutions. Compensation: $30,000 salary plus health benefits, travel/tech stipends, and a $3,000 professional development fund.
