  • Senior Manager of Membership Growth // Women Leaders in Sports - Kansas City, MO

Women Leaders is building a powerful community of leaders working in sports with over 6,200 members representing 600+ college institutions, sports teams, and sports business brands nationwide.

    Position Overview

    The Senior Manager of Membership Growth is responsible for accelerating the growth of Women Leaders in Sports’ individual and group membership base and ensuring a seamless and high-touch onboarding experience for all new members.

    Reporting directly to the Chief Strategy and Operating Officer, this position leads the full member acquisition and activation lifecycle—from lead generation and sales conversations through onboarding, welcome communication, and a successful first 30–60 days of membership experience.

    As the first point of contact for many new members and organizations, this role is central to building relationships, creating early value, and connecting members into the Women Leaders ecosystem in a way that sets them up for long-term engagement and success.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Membership Growth

    • Support and lead membership sales planning and strategy annually.

    • Meet or exceed membership growth goals for individual and group membership.

    • Convert inbound leads from marketing, events, and programming.

    • Execute outbound campaigns targeting key market sectors.

    • Conduct discovery calls, demos, and membership sales presentations.

    • Build pricing proposals and agreements for group membership.

    • Track and manage pipeline through CRM with accuracy and discipline.

    • Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline stages, and reporting.

    • Identify upsell pathways into higher-value memberships and programs.

    Onboarding & Activation

    • Own the first 30–60 days of the member journey.

    • Welcome and onboard new members through email, calls, and personalized outreach.

    • Facilitate onboarding calls, orientations, and webinars.

    • Provide high-touch service, support, and problem-solving.

    • Maintain a deep knowledge of Women Leaders offerings and communicate value clearly.

    • Track onboarding engagement.

    • Ensure new members understand and activate Women Leaders resources and pathways.

    • Partner with the CXO team to transition members into engagement programs.

    Experience

    • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or revenue-generating roles, preferably in membership, associations, or professional services.

    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets or revenue goals.

    • Experience using CRM systems to track leads, conversions, and pipelines.

    • Experience managing a pipeline, tracking leads, forecasting, and driving conversions.

    • Strong ability to communicate value, articulate ROI, and tailor messaging to different audiences.

    • Experience conducting sales calls, demos, presentations, and follow-up communication.

    Compensation: Commensurate with experience; benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance. 401k with employer match.
