The Communications and Conference Membership Services Assistant will be actively involved in many aspects of the LEC’s operations, including communications and content creation, championship administration, LEC SAAC, compliance, administrative and sport governance, updating record books, and additional duties as assigned. The successful candidate will also be present at LEC championships, conference meetings (virtual and in-person), and assist in planning and facilitation of the annual LEC Student-Athlete Leadership Conference. The selected candidate will report directly to the LEC Associate Commissioner, with additional oversight from the LEC Commissioner. The successful candidate is required to attend an orientation session August 2-4, 2026 at the NCAA headquarters in Indianapolis. The approximate term for the position is mid-August through mid-June. Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field (sport management, communications, etc.) or equivalent experience working in athletics, with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be available to work nights and weekends, and travel to LEC member institutions as required. Candidates with experience in athletic communications, event management, website management and/or as a Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) representative are preferred.
