Qualifications or Experience and Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will hold a doctoral degree in
Kinesiology, Sport Science, Physical Education, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will have
demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: coach education and development, high
performance sport, and sport leadership. They will have experience developing and delivering university-level
courses across diverse learning environments and demonstrated ability to incorporate experiential and studentcentred pedagogical approaches. Experience as a coach, sport administrator, or leader in a high-performance
sport context is an asset, as is familiarity with Canadian coach certification systems (e.g., NCCP) and national
sport organization structures. Preference will be given to candidates with experience supervising graduate
students or mentoring emerging coaches and sport professionals, and engagement with sport organizations at
the provincial, national, or international level.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and a commitment to fostering
inclusive learning environments and contributing positively to the broader academic community.
